Stem Cell Treatment in Mexico

Stem cell therapy is an area of regenerative medicine that studies whether cells with repair and immune-regulating properties can support the body in conditions where conventional treatment has limits. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are the type most commonly used in clinical practice today, and they are being investigated across neurological, orthopaedic, ophthalmic, renal, hepatic and pulmonary conditions. Stem cell clinics also operate within Mexico itself, but regulation and quality vary widely, which is part of why some Mexican patients look at India’s established medical-tourism infrastructure instead. Stem Cell Cure India evaluates each enquiry on its own merits and tells patients plainly when the evidence does not support travelling.

What Patients from Mexico Usually Want to Know

Most enquiries we receive from Mexico come after a conventional treatment pathway has run its course — a neurologist who has no further options, a nephrologist preparing a patient for dialysis, an ophthalmologist who has said the vision loss is permanent. Patients want to know three things: whether stem cell therapy could realistically help in their condition, what it would involve, and whether it is worth the cost and travel compared with options closer to home. An evaluation exists to answer exactly those questions, including when the honest answer is that it is not worth it.

How Stem Cell Therapy May Help

Mesenchymal Stem Cells are studied mainly for anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, and for signalling activity that may influence the tissue environment around them. What the research does not currently show is the ability to reverse established structural damage: scarred liver tissue, dead optic nerve fibres, lost motor neurons and fibrotic lung tissue are not known to be restored by stem cell therapy or by anything else available today. Anyone offering a cure for such conditions is overstating the evidence. Our position is that stem cell therapy is discussed only as a possible addition to properly delivered conventional care, and only where an individual assessment suggests it is reasonable.

Conditions We Assess for Patients from Mexico

Enquiries are reviewed individually, and a referral back to conventional care is a perfectly normal outcome. Conditions we most commonly assess include:

  • Neurological conditions — cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke-related disability
  • Eye conditions — optic nerve atrophy, retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration
  • Kidney conditions — chronic kidney disease across its earlier stages
  • Liver conditions — chronic liver disease and compensated cirrhosis
  • Lung conditions — COPD, interstitial lung disease and pollution-related lung damage
  • Neuromuscular conditions — muscular dystrophy, including Duchenne and Becker types

Frequently Asked Questions

No. For every condition we assess, stem cell therapy is positioned as a possible addition to conventional care, never as a cure and never as a replacement for treatment already prescribed by your own doctors in Mexico.

Send your diagnosis, recent reports and a short treatment history by email or WhatsApp. The relevant reports differ by condition, and our team will tell you if anything important is missing before an opinion is given.

Yes. If the reports suggest the condition is too advanced, or that conventional treatment such as dialysis or transplant assessment should take priority, we say so rather than encouraging you to travel.

Typically a consultation, any investigations that need repeating or updating, a discussion of findings, and treatment where the assessment supports it. Most patients are in Delhi for 7 to 10 days.

Yes. Once an evaluation is confirmed we issue the invitation letter and supporting documents required for the Indian Medical Visa application and guide you through the steps.

There is no single price, because the condition, its severity and the plan required all affect it. We quote after reviewing your reports, in USD with an approximate MXN equivalent on request.
