Febin John, young man from Kerala, has lived for his whole life with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and also retinal dystrophy since childhood. These eye conditions gradually took away his sight and made the daily routines harder to do for him. When Febin reached 24 years old, he frequently had trouble seeing things properly, moving around with confidence, or reading without some support. His family kept on searching for treatments to provide him a little bit of improvement. That search eventually directed them to stem cell therapy, which changed Febin's life in unexpected ways.
Febin’s journey took a new direction when his brother, who was working in Dubai, met a woman with a similar eye condition. She had received stem cell treatment at Mayan Hospital Guru in India. She shared how her vision improved after the therapy, and her words gave the family a new sense of hope.

Febin went on his first stem cell treatment on August 8. The family hoped that there would be some little improvement, but did not think something dramatic could happen. On August 16th, he returned for his second treatment. Before this session, the medical team checked his vision again—this test changed everything.
When the doctors tested Febin’s eyesight before the second treatment, they noticed something remarkable. For the first time in many years, Febin could read four to five lines on the vision chart. He even read the entire fifth row without difficulty.
The doctors were surprised by how quickly his eyesight improved. They described the change as “drastic” and “miraculous”. Febin and his family felt overwhelmed with happiness because they never expected such a big improvement in such a short time.
After both sessions, Febin continued to show steady progress. His vision reading increased to 24, which marked a clear improvement from his earlier condition. During every follow-up visit, the doctors gave positive feedback. They told him he was doing “very good” and that his eyesight looked better.
These encouraging words helped Febin feel more confident. He started believing that his condition could continue to improve with proper care and regular checkups.
